Don't forget this inquiry....

Our car phone uses 3G and because of the environmental consequences of using any higher frequency, we want to keep on using 3G.  However, the telcos plan on getting rid it - Telstra in June and Optus in September.  However, that is not going to be an easy process and a lot of people in regional/rural Australia will lose their phones as well as a lot of applications (flood gauges, medic alarms, eftpos machines, etc.) won't work.  The telcos don't care - they want you to use the sort of frequencies that will cause harm to wildlife and people.  They keep saying such frequencies (e.g., 5G) is safe but they have NEVER done the safety testing.  The Senate is conducting an inquiry about this forced shutdown of 3G.  If you use 3G for anything or if you have relatives/friends who use personal medic alerts, check out the inquiry page and make your voice heard!   The deadline for subs is May 31st.  https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Rural_and_Regional_Affairs_and_Transport/3GNetworkShutdown
